TopSeries AVANT® — Advanced IFEC System
The TopSeries AVANT™ Inflight Entertainment and Connectivity System is our latest offering which delivers on innovation, reliability and performance. Its features scale from lean to lavish making TopSeries AVANT the choice future architecture for world airlines.
Advanced Reliability:
The highest standard of excellence starts with system reliability and is why the new TopSeries AVANT® incorporates up to 256GB of content storage at the seat. This independent storage capability coupled with added redundancy within the head-end solid state digital servers adds further protection against any dark seats.
Improved Efficiency:
The TopSeries AVANT gives back the aircraft by simplifying the architecture. For example, you will not see a seat electronics box under the seat. With fewer components, power and weight requirements are reduced by 30% and 20% respectively and reliability is increased.
Superior Performance:
The processing power within the TopSeries AVANT® Smart Video Display Unit has increased speed of up to 30% compared to earlier units. New chip sets support both 2D and 3D acceleration. These technologies and high definition video capability deliver a vibrant presentation and empower the passenger to do more, faster.
Scalable Services:
The TopSeries AVANT® system scales from a simplified system with a space efficient digital head-end, Ethernet network and touch screen Smart Video Display Units to a fully loaded system with Smart Passenger Integrated Modules, Credit Card reader, Touch Passenger Media Unit and Connectivity. Ideal for both linefit and retrofit applications, the system matches the needs of most airlines.
Android™ OS:
The software architecture is based on Android OS which provides a tremendous opportunity to efficiently integrate applications from the Google® Marketplace and build custom airline capabilities.
Seat-centric Smart Video Display:
Passengers will never take a backseat with so many options in the space they call their own. Our TopSeries AVANT® platform combines the best elements of a fully loaded seat-centric display with a robust server-based system. The new Gen 4 Smart Video Display Unit is the most accomplished modular design with contemporary finishes. It includes tremendous local content storage and is fully adaptive to interface with passenger portable devices.
This revolutionary product comes in screen sizes range from 9" class to 23" class and incorporate capacitive and multi-touch navigation for optimum passenger usability. Displays have exceptional viewing angles and can accommodate privacy filters and tilt mechanisms.

Touch Passenger Media Unit:
TouchPMU
Built for the untamed multi-task user, the award winning Touch Passenger Media Unit is a hand-held unit with a large 3.8 inch LCD display that can host endless Android™ applications found in the Google® Marketplace and support custom airline applications. It functions as a stand alone device or a perfect complement to the TopSeries AVANT® in-seat display. Enjoy web browsing, interactive accelerometer/haptic vibration feedback games, Email, SMS, Shopping, Moving Maps, and more. The TouchPMU also supports PSS functions and seat controls.
With the use of a Software Developer Kit, the TouchPMU provides a flexible platform for custom apps.
Smart Passenger Integrated Modules:
SmartPIMs
Our uniquely designed Smart Passenger Integrated Modules (SmartPIMs) is a future proof solution that enables passengers to connect their portable devices to the system so they can listen or view their content through the TopSeries AVANT® system. The product accommodates up to 4 interchangeable connectors, such as USB and RCA jacks. As new connectors are introduced, airline maintenance personnel can easily upgrade the unit bringing something new to the cabin over time.
Credit Card Reader:
The Credit Card Reader provides the interface for swiping credit cards. Reliable and easy to use, the Credit Card Reader supports revenue generation opportunities.

TopSeries AVA™ — Wireless Streaming Media System
As stand alone solution or relative to TopSeries AVANT®, AVA™ is the name of our wireless media streaming offer.
Launched in 2012, AVA™ is positioned as a comprehensive end-to-end offer that has an edge over competitive options in the following ways:
- In partnership with Siemens, our software accommodates more personal electronic devices
- Our Media services group packages content bringing added-value to the total offer
- The ability to integrate with the TopSeries AVANT® system will enable passenger to access applications such as Moving Map
- Our global Customer Support and Services manage the system
TopSeries AVA™ is lightweight and easy to install with minimum impact to the aircraft. Test trials are scheduled for mid-year with an optimistic view that TopSeries AVA™ will be attractive for airlines that are looking for a low-cost IFE solution or airlines that want to add wireless capability to their embedded system.
